- 描述: Trade Gothic® Next Display fonts bring vibrancy and three-dimensionality to the Trade Gothic Next design. Drawn by Lynne Yun for Monotype Studio, the two-design suite of typefaces adds dynamic chromatic effects to the classic sans serif family. Based on the powerful Trade Gothic Next Condensed Heavy display design, Ms. Yun created the fonts necessary to set both “beveled” and “embossed” characters in any color.
The result creates strikingly compelling and eye-catching copy for advertising, branding, posters and publication design. The fonts allow for multiple color layers within a single design. The use of color within typography is not only decorative, but can also have a functional purpose in attracting attention and creating hierarchy. Trade Gothic Next Decorative Embossed generates arresting highlighted type, while Trade Gothic Next Decorative Embossed creates shadow and outline effects
Ms. Yun is a Monotype type designer based in Brooklyn. She holds a BFA from School of Visual Arts and a postgraduate certificate in typeface design from Type@Cooper. Ms. Yun has worked with a broad range of clients, including Anheuser-Busch, London Samsung and Sherwin-Williams, and held positions at Apple, Deutsch and Publicis. Her work has been recognized by the Type Directors Club, Art Directors Club, Working Not Working and several other organizations.
